GitHub - charlysan/pico-ttl2dvi: RP2350 Based TTL Video To DVI Converter
github.com/charlysan/pico-ttl2dviIncludes a great explanation of interfacing 5 V electronics with 3V3 parts, especially putting the RP2350/RP2040's supposed 5 V tolerance in context. You still need current limiting resistors!
The minimal hookup. The 330 Ω limits current into the RP2350 pad's clamp diode. That diode is the "5 V tolerance", and the resistor is what keeps it safe.
It goes on to explain how the 74LVC245A is genuinely better (plus it works with chips that aren't from Raspberry Spy):
LVC inputs accept 5.5 V regardless of Vcc - 5 V tolerance is a designed-in property of the family, so the card connects straight in and the outputs are already 3.3 V logic.
